Vehicle wheel flanges and rails are often affected by increased wear, creating considerable noise, especially when passing points and curves. A very precise lubrication of the running surfaces, and/or the leading edge and sometimes even direct wetting of the rail head can quickly and reliably resolve these problems. The ESA® system features easily exchangeable, refillable lubricant canisters which prevent ingress of dirt or air into the system and protect maintenance personnel from coming into contact with the lubricant. ESA® can be used for either vignole or grooved rail profiles and also for drilled rail and is ideal in urban locations.
